Change in Circumstances:

The original EP was put in place due to quality issues with the prior vendor. An extension was done because a bid was put out but there were no qualified vendors. An additional extension was requested due to the consolidation between the PA Department of Corrections and the PA Board of Probation and Parole, and looking at the duplication of efforts to determine what would be fiscally sound. DGS is currently in the process of preparing an RFP for these services. In the meantime, we are requesting to extend the current EP so there is no disruption in services. This EP is only until DGS has prepared the RFP for these services and a vendor has been selected from that RFP. The EP extension will be valid for 9 (nine) months OR until the new contract is in place, OR whichever occurs first.

Justification for Extension:

This extension is needed by the PA Board of Probation and Parole to extend the current EP so there is no disruption in services. This EP is only until DGS has prepared the RFP for these services and a vendor(s) have been selected from that RFP.
